This workshop provides family carers with an introduction to adapting the home to be more dementia friendly.
Research has shown that making specific changes to the home environment can have significant positive impact on a person living with dementia. We explore practical and inexpensive ideas and provide tips to make simple adaptations to your home.
On completion of this session you will be familiar with:
· How the environment impacts the person with dementia
· Ten principles of dementia friendly homes
· Practical examples of how to improve each part of the home environment for a person living with dementia.
