STRATEGIES FOR CARERS OF PEOPLE LIVING WITH DEMENTIA
This program is held over 7 half day sessions (10:00 am - 2:00 pm) plus an additional reunion lunch (12:00 pm - 2:00 pm)

11/04/19 - Review Sessions
09/05/19 - Reunion Lunch
Who Should Attend
The program is for carers who are;
Caring for a family member or friend living with dementia
Concerned about behaviours such as wandering,restlessness, repetitive questioning, repeating tasks or actions, lack of motivation or boredom
Carers will;
Discover ways of using everyday activities to connect, have fun and share meaningful time with the person with dementia
Learn strategies that may settle or cease changed behaviours, or assist with a task
Receive written information and resources to help implement the activities and strategies at home
Exchange ideas and receive support and inspiration from other carers

This program is not suitable for paid care workers
Assistance with in-home respite, transport and interpreters can be arranged; please make a request when booking.
Participants must reside in the Southern Metropolitan Region
