GENTLE MOVEMENT AND MINDFULNESS SESSION FOR CARERS
Join us for a series of 3 workshops to explore how the gentle movements of Tai Chi and the practice of mindfulness can sustain you in your caring role. Participants must be able to attend all 3 sessions which will be held on 13/02/19, 20/02/19 and 27/02/19
The workshops will include:
An introduction to Tai Chi with some gentle movement seated or standing
An introduction to mindfulness and some guided meditations
Exploring how mindfulness can help you cope more effectively with challenges and stress in your caring role
Tips and handouts for daily practice
About the facilitator:
Anja Tanhane has been practising Tai Chi and meditation for thirty years and has taught in a wide range of health and community settings.

Who should attend?
Carers, family members, and friends who are supporting a person with dementia, a frail older person, a person with a disability or a person experiencing mental illness.
Assistance with in-home respite, transport and interpreters can be arranged; please make a request when booking. Please wear comfortable clothing.
Participants must reside in the Southern Metropolitan Region
