Our Mental Health program can assist you in your caring role by providing skilled and local advice, support in times of crisis, and the tools you may need to plan for the future.
We can link you to local services and supports that understand what you are going through and can help make your caring role easier.
How can we help?
Our experienced staff are available to:
Listen to you, acknowledge your needs and offer emotional support
Focus on enhancing your self-care and wellbeing and investigate ways for you to have regular breaks
Assist you to identify and further develop your own coping strategies
Explore ways with you to strengthen your personal relationships
Arrange respite and possibly help with the costs
Put you in touch with carer support groups where you can meet other people in similar situations
Help you navigate the mental health system and link you to other services that may be able to help
Discuss with you how you may consider planning for the future
Offer a range of events including education, social outings and retreats for carers.
Carer Support Workers Mental Health
We may connect you to a carer support worker for a short period of time. They may work with you face-to-face to address your individual carer needs. Every carer’s story is different so they will listen to you and work out with you how best to assist.
