Carer Support Services
Carer Support Workers provide emotional support and practical assistance to help carers continue caring at home. This support is short term, usually between six weeks and six months. Support is offered to carers caring for a person with a disability, a mental health concern, an older person with a chronic illness, someone living with dementia or if access to residential respite options is required. Support is also provided to young people caring for a parent, brother, sister or friend with a disability or mental health issue.
CareLine Carer Support
CareLine is a 24 hour telephone service for carers. CareLine is a starting point for carers needing information, support and urgent respite. The CareLine service can help carers get started, meet their immediate needs, and provide connections to ongoing supports.
