Carer Card Program launches

In recognition of the significant social and economic contribution that carers make, the Victorian Government has announced a Victorian Carer Card which is now available.  The Carer Card will offer practical discounts to carers on a range of products and services, such as public transport, retail, leisure, education and health and wellness.
 
To establish eligibility for the Carer Card, carers need to provide evidence they are a primary carer in receipt of carer income support from the Commonwealth Government through Centrelink.  For carers who are not in receipt of Centrelink carer benefits, a health professional can sign Carer Card application form to confirm the applicant is an unpaid primary carer.
